HOW DO 5 PIGS TURN.......

 INTO A MINIATURE HORSE????????

Easy!!    Just see below and then read the story line.

The CAPTURE

It all started at the Egmont Bay Exhibition in 2006.  After the miniature horse show there is an event called a pig scramble.  This is sponsored by Gerald Pollack and Sons who are livestock dealers.   This event involves 5 girls and 5 boys and whom-ever bags the pig first wins either the pig or the equilivant dollar amount.  Of course most kids would want the pig but the parents rather the money. lol

Anyway there is an age limit for the kids and they have to sign up to go into it. Once they sign up 5 girls are drawn and 5 boys are drawn.  These lucky kids get to participate in attempting to capture a pig.

My cousin was with us showing horses and I asked her "will you go in the pig scramble?" She said "No". I kept after her to get her to go.  I said "It would a lot of fun and you could win some money".

Prior to this my friend was bugging me about her colt which I just simply loved. A dreamy chestnut with white mane and tail and 1 blue eye. Out of her mare,  by my stallion.  She kept teasing me about me taking it home since I started drooling every time I saw him.  She would keep asking me "So ,are you loading him up at the show? "

I ended up I said to Jennie "If you enter the pig scramble and win. I will buy you a horse." She said "Which one?"  I pointed to the weanling chestnut.  She said "Sure!" and took off with her friend to put their names in the draw.

As luck would have it her name was drawn. But, there was also another Jennie. She figured that it would be the other Jennie being called instead of her for the pig scramble.  Turns out it was her.  That was how she spelled her name "ie" instead of "y" and she had a chance to go into the scramble.  The rest is history.

Pylon was loaded and taken home after the show and has been loved and trained by Jennie ever since.  Watch for him in the coming shows. I will try to get a new photo of him once he cleans the rest of his winter coat off.

She named him Pilon
